We've now arrived at Day #34 in my Davis banjo series. Today's selection is an early Bill Monroe instrumental called "WHEEL HOSS". I like to play it with three parts, the way Hubert Davis did it - hope you like it. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for watching!

Great job Mr Robins! That banjo is a killer! I appreciate you taking time to post these tunes. I love listening to them.

Thanks so much Butch. what a great 5 minutes. How fortunate we are to have the banjo hangout. First we get one of the masters coming into our house each day to deliver a master's piece. Then we get a history lesson from one of the few: a great with the knowledge of history and sense of perspective to fully know it and who also has the intellect to share it in its context. WOW. Mr Monroe, when he didn't like something would say: That ain't no part of nothing. But I know that he would see and hear what you are doing and say: That is part of something.

Thanks Butch,

Ken

With no gigs for over a year, it's my pleasure to make these little videos, Ken. They keep me in practice and out of trouble! Your kind words are greatly appreciated!
