Doug, does "random" or "day" take precedence?

I have a confession, of sorts: that one ^^ of the burro wasn't entirely random.... my intention was to have one of my daughters do a painted rendering of it.  Alas.... the best laid plans..... sad

Here's one of some ancient tribal artwork .... on a small(ish) road-side pull-out,  with a panoramic view out over a broad valley somewhere in Georgia, if I recall correctly.

Well, they wuz borned in da 1870’s, so I’d say that photo is somewhere in the 1947’s...
They seen the inventions we take fer granted,,, airplanes, cars, radio, TV, fridges,,,, & dare I say bluegrass bands. (bluegrass [blaugras] is big in Holland..just ask BHO member Bruno)
The next gen came across after WW ll. Ferry across the English Channel,, train to Liverpool, ship to Quebec City, train to St. Catharines, home of the (dare I say it) TeePees, owned by Winnipeg’s own Rudyard Pilous.

.....sample pic of step #2 in my 4-step [winter] composting program..... and step 1 in a ??-step process to turn this winter's #2 pics into "art."  [P.S. IF it pans out, it'll be a one-off ... I'm NOT taking reservation/deposits on copies.   wink ]

I'm no photographer so i don't know what buttons I pushed when I took this with my digital camera.

The hazy mountain range in the background is the Olympic Mountains in Washington. This a view from up Sooke.

I like how you can see the yellow Scotch Broom. It's an invasive weed now. It was introduced by a Scottish pioneer here that asked for some seeds to be shipped from the old country!
