I've had a few requests for "BROWN MOUNTAIN LIGHTS", so I'll play it for Day #29 in my Davis banjo series. It's been a long time since I've played it, so I hope I'll do it justice! Have a good day ~

A fine arrangement of an interesting song. I first heard it in a recording by a famous bluegrass group, the Kingston Trio. Okay, not a bluegrass group by any stretch of the imagination. But it was recorded by a genuine and famous bluegrass group, the Country Gentlemen, in 1964. However, their album (Nashville Jail) sat in the can until it was finally released in 1990.
