That’s a political point of view. OAN is not a comprehensive news network and makes no attempt to report multiple views.l As you say, FWIW. That’s not much. My wife died (long before Covid) from small-cell lung cancer. The attending physician (who had never seen her) listed the cause of death as “asphyxiation.” This sort of thing is common practice. People who are listed as dying of this disease or that disease tend to actually die from a condition resulting from the disease.

I agree this is not balanced news reporting. This is just politics from a known propaganda source. This source also loves odd conspiracy theories so is not a source for anything useful unless you're determined to live in that weird world. It is known to have presented misinformation about Covid. So FWIW - it's worth nothing.

A bit old story, it's been explained often before. Even seasonal flu; many folks technically die of pneumonia...  as brought about by getting the flu.

-------

One way to evaluate is by looking at excess death; that is deaths compared to the average amount one would normally expect. (from heart attack, stroke, cancer...)

In the US, since the start of end of March thru the beginning of Feb. has been in excess; in range of 493,550 - 609,600.

So, what has occurred during that time frame that could explain likely cause that increase?

[fwiw - that excess is with precautionary actions taken]

One again Figmo attempts to get around the politics ban by posting a bare link to a political video. It's a bit unfair on the mods to expect them to click on every link to see if it's political or religious.
But on the actual video: This makes (or invites the viewer to make) the naive assumption that humans come equipped with a set of discrete off switches labelled 'heart attack', 'cancer','flu', 'pneumonia'... and death is caused when any one of these switches is tripped. Of the excess deaths reported over the last year most would still be alive if they had not contracted Covid. What they actually died from is irrelevant. With the precautions taken something like 500,000 Americans and over 100,000 extra Brits have died in the last year. How many would this have been if we had seen this video a year ago and used it to inform our actions ?

If you questioning the video why not do your own research which I’m sure the CDC had a web Portal just for that. Then come back with the results. Fig is just posting a source. Opinions are like rear ends everyone has them and they all stink. YMMV There this old saying you are what you eat and I believe that also applies to the other senses as well. What you watch, what you listen to,what you read. And even who you hang out with. Oh by the way this is my Opinion and if it stinks well Bless Your Heart...

A source that is not guilt free when it comes to posting misinformation about Covid. and which deals in propoganda. Not much of a source really.

I dont think that any of any news media today is "comprehensive" but to what the viewers wishes are.... all have an agenda

I viewed you 'source'. I posted my reasoned opinion of why I thought it was specious, biased,  nonsense aimed at the gullible. Who exactly is trying to stifle debate here ?

I look for more reliable sources. You seem to look for sources which match you're opinion. Otherwise known as bias confirmation. I look at news across the spectrum but don't pay attention to the fanciful stuff.

Well, since it's political, I'm locking it.
