Morning all. Another mild, overcast and mizzling day here with temps of 16.2-17.7C (61.2-63.8F) and around 1/2" of rain over the day.
Looks cold at Vermilion Pass Chuck.
My photo was taken yesterday morning and is a 1/10th scale maquette of 'Angel of the North'.
Good morning from the shore of Lake Michigan. Cold this morning, I'll leave it at that!! No more snow added to the 2" we got in the "Big Storm" that was predicted!! LOL Have a great day everyone.
Good morning from frozen Kingston, Ontario. It's -14C now, it was -13C a little while ago. The forecast was for -17C. It will rise to -9C today.
Thanks for starting this day's thread, Chuck. Great photos from you and Chris.
Yesterday there was enough snow to warrant using the new snowblower, maybe as much as 5cm. I did the drive and the walk and the sun finished it off - the driveway is bare now. Pop the batteries in (two of them), push the button, grab the dead-man bar, and Bob's yer uncle. When finished, remove the batteries and bring them inside. It only used one of the batteries and I popped it into the charger. It will be good for the blizzard days when I want to clear enough of the road that the City plough doesn't seal in the driveway entrance.
Have a great day!
Have a terrific Thursday everyone
Good morning! Sun's not up here in the west. Not a bad winter so far.
Have a good one everybody!
Good Morning from cold (0f) and clear Northeast Wisconsin. Full moon last night, bright on the snow with shadows at 10 pm.
We also got a new snow blower last year but need something a bit stronger and larger than Paul. 36" wide gasser for the 3'-4' drifts and the ice chunks that the township plow dumps in our drive entrance. Have only used it twice so far this year so I have 2 concerns, it is either going to be a dry year which is bad or we are going to be dumped on in February and March. Third option is pouring rain in April and May. All of these are bad news for farmers, not enough moisture in the ground, late thaw or fields too muddy to plow and plant.
All the storms are going south of us which seems to be one of those good news/bad news things.
Good morning from NE Ohio. Light snow covered yesterday's clear ground.
I have only used the snowblower one time this season. Have a great day all and thanks for the pics
Snow is SO BEAUTIFUL.... unless one must drive through it or shovel it.
Two hour drive Weds night, full moon, clear sky, dry roads.
Got home and discovered that it had snowed quite a bit in MY town, and the City plow had piled a 21 inch high wall across the end of my driveway.
Took 89 scoops to get enough of it gone, that I could get my car in, since there is TICKET issued for parking on the streets in the winter.
I shall next crank up the snow blower, and clear it out MUCH better.
But it's COLD out, and I don't like being cold.
I can pretend that Chuck's picture is 10 minutes from my house.
Just go down Museum Road to Roger's place, get out and take pictures.
-8C, dry, almost no wind, high overcast. For winter, really nice out.
