Probably built by American Made Banjos over the past 15-20 years.
They "own" the rights to the Kel Kroydon name.
I'm pretty much positive that pre-war Gibson didn't stamp that ring, and positive that Gibson KK's, like their "cousins" TB/RB-10 & 11 didn't have tone rings, just had brass tone hoops.
So maybe a Dannick with kel Krydon stamped??
Will see how it puts out i rekon..
AMB used Dannicks in their highest-end models. I don't know exactly what they used for there other banjos, but I do know it was an American tone ring.
I have a Kel Krylon stamped tone ring and it was also stamped as being make by Richard Kulesh. So one of their rings could have come from a couple of venders.
