I'm excited to announce that this year's New Mexico Banjo Camp is heading online on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, meaning you can join us from anywhere in the world. Our faculty is unmatched: Tony Trischka, Alan Munde, Riley Baugus, Bill Evans and very special guest Kristin Scott Benson. We'll hold forth with workshop sessions on Zoom, along with a Saturday night concert, instructor-led jams, follow up with teachers and social gatherings. Workshops will be oriented towards all levels past very beginning level players, including workshops for high intermediate and advanced students.
The workshop topics are largely determined by you - the student - based on your level and your requests and tuition for the entire weekend is $200 after March 1 but just $175 from now through March 1. All sessions will be recorded for later viewing at any time by registered students. We'll likely go all day Saturday and for four to six hours on Sunday. Whatever you miss that weekend, you'll be able to view later via private YouTube links.
We'll have three-finger/bluegrass instruction from Trischka, Munde, Scott Benson & Evans; old-time/clawhammer instruction from Baugus and Evans and this camp is a great event for all of you bluegrass players who want to get started with clawhammer style (and learn from the very best!).
Over the last forty years, I've taught at hundreds of camps and group workshops. In the last twenty years, I've directed or co-directed over twenty camp events and taught thousands of adult learners of all levels in one-on-one and group lessons. In the past year, I've seen what works (and what doesn't) in online instructional events and I promise to make this the best online event you've ever attended. You won't get overloaded and you'll have the opportunity for follow-up with teachers so that you come away from the weekend already a better banjo player. The focus is on you and our faculty is here to help you take your playing to the next level. Our schedule will be up and running by late March.

All the best,
