... at least so far.
A Vancouver, BC "Value Village" is able to return $85,000 that was inadvertently (?) donated in a handbag. citynews1130.com/2021/01/22/va...85k-cash/
[Before you 'Muricans get too, too excited, that's only about $59,500 in "real" money. ]

Wait! Mike, you didn't get an e-mail/offer related to this?
I hope the two employees get a reward. I drove past that store an hour ago. It's in one of the poorest areas of the city.
That is really nice, but for the vast majority of people returning the money was the only option. I hope the employees are rewarded too. I am always reminded of the great golfer Bobby Jones when he was lavished over for doing the right thing on the golf course when there was no one around to witness what he "could have done". He said praising him for not cheating would be like praising someone for "not robbing a bank". It was something he would have never even considered!
The real snag is that they got caught doing the right thing.
You gotta sneak off and run like Hello before anybody sees you.
Watching the surprises tastes pretty good. I ain't been caught yet.
