Nothing personal against Banjo Warehouse, it's a reputable business and Geoff has been a valuable member of the banjo community. But these serial postings in the Classifieds kind of block us from seeing what we are really looking for (not $1500 Japanese banjos from 1980s). Could there be a filter maybe or a way to opt out of postings by someone in particular? This begins to be the same issue that mandolincafe has where you can't look for used stuff from other members, but have to work through new and business postings to find what you want. The system here is light years better than that, but this is still an issue.
It would also be nice to get a response when trying to purchase an item in the classifieds. 3 emails and no courtesy reply, and not marked SOLD.
I twice inquired as to purchasing an instrument back in December, and the poster never responded- even upgraded the ad/lowered the price stating he needed to sell it. After my 2nd full offer I didn't worry with it anymore...
I had two in the last 6 months that never responded when I would have purchased their item. I had one put a banjo in a box and shipped it with some envelopes in the box as padding; it arrived in pieces with a broken neck. Very annoying.
