I have tabbed out and learned a few of his instrumentals(little juniata,appalachiana,and riding the high iron),and im always impressed by how fresh he makes his stuff sound.he is truly one of a kind
I have always said that Bill Emerson is one of the most underrated banjo players in the business. His playing is not that fancy but every note he plays is crisp, clean, and tasteful. He is a joy to listen to.
