He claims the condition is "used" right under the definition of used as being used with some signs of cosmetic wear !! I couldn't even tell it was a banjo at first. I thought it was a beat up case !

That banjo is NOT for sale, at the price it’s listed at. It stupefies me.
Maybe I should sell my “rare, vintage, antique, one-of-a-kind” upright bass for $500,000.
Local pickup only? For $20,000, I want a trip by private jet to the location, and a stay at a plush hotel to boot.
Yet another example of a CLUELESS seller.
eBay seems to be getting more and more filled with junk, and less and less interesting stuff. They have the worst search engine in the world.

What on earth serves as the “basis” for their asking price?
Their delusions of a potential gold mine?
The fact that their great, great, great grandfather owned it?
Whatever the reason may be, nobody’s going to be stupid enough to bid on that thing for a looooooooooooong time.
But, suddenly that $4500 Civil War banjo from 1887 seems reasonable, especially since it was carried by his great, great grandfather!
Situations like this make me think of pick-up lines with girls.....they wouldn’t do it if it didn’t work sometimes ??

This person is obviously misinformed about "old" banjos being worth a lot.
The one thing I understand about this listing is the part where he says, "seller does not accept returns." If I was crooked enough to stick someone with that piece of garbage for 20,000 bucks, I wouldn't accept returns either.
I bet he wants the 20k in small, unmarked bills.
For $20k it must be a rare banjo built in 1792 and carried in the Revolutionary War.
