Sure, that was a distraction. It's also been a hell of a year and a little cheer would go a long way but
OH NO, the Grinchettes have put their tiny finger down.
I would continue to drive around until the last minute of the deadline before I took the lights off.
I saw a combine (coulda been a New Holland or a Massey-Ferguson) in Man-ee-toe-bah a few years ago with Christmas lights adorning the cab and auger/unloader. It’s a friendly province, doncha know.

Ya, I guess the combines and/or tractors w/grain carts aren't all that rare. I know they're a fixture at the JD dealers at Shoal Lake MB (#16) and Balgonie, SK (#1).... but I guess this year we'll have to see them virtually.... or just sit around with the "Yule Log" on TV and imagine the combines. Which reminds me.... Where IS the Yule Log? ... haven't seen it so far this season?!?!?!

Yule logs could be off-limits this year,,, they promote gatherings of more than ten seasonal celebrants.......inebriated and “non-socially distanced”.
They have the Christmas truck parade here every year.
Where IS the Yule Log? ... haven't seen it so far this season?!?!?!
We have it on here but it's been the same one for years. We used to have one where you could see the guys arm when he put another piece on! Now that's entertainment!
The log is a part of the Cool Yule Stool, your choice of colors. It is, when you drop trou'
There's a local ranch guy rides his horse into town for mail.
Hitching rail just outside the post office door. He's got battery-operated set of lights that he decorates the horse with (safety feature with short days and long nights).
Then he rides over to the hotel bar (long hitching rail out front) and has a beer then rides home.
Nobody gives him any crap for his technicolor horse. Not even the police. The cops here know you don't yank on Superman's chain.
Y'all can view the Yule log on your computers. Just go to You Tube and search for (you guessed it) "Yule Log".
You can get them plain, with crackling sounds, with instrumental Christmas music, with choral music, with/without pets, reindeer, wild animals etc. They run from minutes to hours - 8 - 10 - 12
And if you have a smart TV, you can watch it there on the You Tube Channel, Pluto TV, and the Roku Channel (not so confident on that last one).
So get yerself a cheeseball and curl up for a cozy holiday evening.
Approaching Christmas a few years ago, one woman come to the Bluegrass jam ay the Legion wearing a string of Christmas lights.
I said, "I see you're already lit!"
