And THAT is why the people who found it, should have hidden a motion-activated trail camera in the rocks above the site.

Now, there is no way to PROVE that literary philanthropist  NAncy Gordon planted it there, in an effort to inspire young essayists to write more free essays for college !

(And later removed it, to inspire postings on social media)

Looks like “Nancy Gordon”  is more like Lyudmila Borisova or some such.

Either the artist went back for it, or a scrap metal guy did.

NAncy Gordon's silly post about essays for college is DELETED, and that makes MY post about NOTHING.

I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if it had been a polylith?

WooHoo!!.... Manitoba now has/had an entrant in the sweepstakes.  yes   [Although apparently it's so insignificant it hasn't been on our regional network news (?) yet.]   https://globalnews.ca/news/7506677/canada-gets-its-own-shiny-viral-monolith-in-manitoba/

The "Old Pinawa Dam" is across the Winnipeg River from where I worked several decades ago..... w-a-y before its status as a provincial park.  Back then it was just a popular hangout spot for young adults and  assorted miscreants.  https://myldb.ca/things-to-do/pinawa-dam-provincial-heritage-park/

"... the Romanian monolith is decorated with a loop-like script that appears to be etched into the object’s metallic veneer. "

Israeli military commander  Mickey Marcus looked like THIS:

Fact is, actor Hume Cronyn looked like Mickey Marcus

So, in the movie ABOUT the exploits of Mr. Marcus,  they cast THIS guy!

Should this thread be moved to the 'C-19 Death Rate by Comparison' thread?

It would fit in seamlessly with many of the contributions there! wink

It looks like the dog in the upper right video is getting ready to put his "stamp of approval" on the object. I have a high respect for dog's opinions.
