No veggie limericks, but I could pretty well live on fresh veggies and fruits. Not a vegan, but don't care that much for red meat. Can't remember the last time I had a steak, probably several years ago.

Dave was our steak cooker. He'd grill them outside, mine medium, pink inside, his bloody red and just barely warm (yuck).

Chicken and lean pork are okay, don't care much for any kind of seafood.

I do miss Dave's slow cooker brisket and ribs, haven't had any of them in over 4 years.

I'll hafta pass on the limericks... I have more trouble than I should coming up with alternative words/phrases for songs where I find the originals lacking.

However, I think I recall quite a while back Mike G. posted something or other about some ladies finding interesting/creative (?) uses for vegetables.  Maybe he'll come to our rescue....   blush

I must admit that probably 80% of my meals involve meat - if God hadn't intended us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them so tasty!

Not often, but there are nights when only a bean/pea/lentil-based meal tastes right.
A few other nights, it must be cheese-based, several different kinds.
The others, maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of it is meat of all different sorts except llama.

Locally grown baker potato is a common ingredient in all its forms.
Large amounts of various onions and garlic are always an essential.

I need to develop my skill cutting up frying chickens this winter.
I need to explore a lot of Greek foods this winter.

Just bought a 454g/ 1 lb jar of Leonidas Greek sea salt to add to my collection.
The marine impurities really add to the "saltiness" taste = use very little.
