Love hearing those iconic instruments....but wish they could of had Lester's D18. That was the guitar he played the whole time with Monroe's mandolin. I hope we see more reuniting of these instruments!

Back in the early '80's, an old D-28 with hexagon inlays in the fingerboard passed through a small local shop here. We were pretty sure it was Carter Stanley's guitar, but no one took the time to contact Ralph to see if he would confirm it. We didn't worry too much about things like that in those days . . .
