A good Canadian kid, eh!?,, born in Calgary....yessir.
I’ve hauled umpteen beef loads out of JBS where his parents work. Never down to your part of the country though, John.  That’s one of our company’s trailers in the pic.
Thanks for posting, John.  Best of luck to Ajou!

He is an very nice young man and is still learning the game. As he continues to learn, he is going to be a real handful for defensive backs ...... very tall for a wide receiver and extremely athletic.  Like so many young men from immigrant families he knows the value of hard work.  He will do well!

Or... "You know I like you on occasion... otherwise I wouldn't mess with you." ?

But, yes... 'though I suspect we're both on "not banjo related" mainly for its entertainment (?) value.

Dat true ...... can't hold grudges for more than a few hours!

PS:  Did you read the article about the fine young Canadian man on my football team?  I'll bet your none of your universities have a Sakerlina youngster on their hockey team!

The Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey Association Junior League had Hilton Head Island native  Ryan Hartman on their team.  He now plays for Minnesota Wild.

...naturally I read it... otherwise what would be the point of your posting it? cheeky

I expect you're right about CIS hockey.  I don't follow the [major junior] CHL particularly closely, but periodically one hears about WHL players from CA and TX.

Auston Matthews, the Leafs’ star player, is from the Phoenix, AZ area.

Makes sense Chuck.  I had forgotten that Hilton Head was the hot bed of South Carolina hockey!

PS:  I apologize that I forgot to single you out like I did Owen in my first post.  I enjoy yanking your chain occasionally too ...... and I am sure the yanking is mutual!

Well, Banjoy liked to use to accuse me of not reading his links and I wanted to be a little more diplomatic than to outright "accuse" you ....... but I did wonder since your post was oriented toward me dissing you than the article ...... which was OK.

I wasn't sure of the intent of the link.... can't say I am even now.  It's as if I had informed you that last year a niece of mine graduated from an SEC school where she ran track and cross-country while on a 4-year academic scholarship.    You might [justifiably] have responded:  "S-o?"  [or "o-k-a-a-a-y?"]

That's better (ACC versus SEC ....... Which college?).  If you had posted that about your niece I would have responded like this.

"Thank you Owen for the informative post about you neice.  It is always wonderful to have a nice Canadian young lady in our neck of the woods competing for a fine ACC institution.  Please wish her the best.
