Hi all. I have a Pot assembly I cannot identify. Almost looks like a Stew Mac. It’s attached to a newer Gibson Granada clone neck. I know Ome also did the bolted rim, but this isn’t an Ome though it has a number “751” Embossed on the inside.

It looks to me like the pot is built from parts. Many makers use the bracket shoe design besides Ome and more than one banjo company uses brass screws to attach the bracket shoes. I don't know the significance of the number 751.
The flange was not designed for the bracket spacing because there are numerous holes drilled to make it fit. The shoe and plate design was used by Gibson on some non-Mastertone banjos but all Mastertones, regardless of era, had supporting flanges, not bracket shoes.
I assume there is a resonator bracket on the other side of the rim as well? Some banjos have two attachment points including old Stewart MacDonald kits but I have never seen one with two L brackets.

Also, that's not really a "Granada" clone neck. Granada's had curly maple necks, and normally had white-black-white binding.

Youre neck appears to be mahogany, or possibly straight grain maple.

Is it an original? It could be. I am just concerned it’s not worth much with that pot. Paid $600.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a genuine Gibson part on that banjo.

However, looks like a decent $600.00 banjo.

If it FEELS good and PLAYS well, it's well worth $600.
Enjoy it, as you wait for Banjo Acquisition Syndrome to force you to get another one to add to your collection.
