Selling my RK 50 "project" (completed) to make room for an old Mastertone I just acquired. Tripping over cases around here!
Exc. condition early RK 50 (serial # 21) with pre war Gibson 11" tone hoop added via CNC shortening of the rim, and an Asian (Fender? I forget) replacement resonator with the pre war RK sunburst stain, replacing the original RK 50 mahogany resonator that looked like a 1930s style 3/75 w/ 2 purfling rings, which I just didn't care for.
Exc. hard case that the banjo came in when I bought it here on BHO. For that matter, bought the replacement resonator and the Gibson 11" tone hoop here on BHO also. It made for a fun project, but now I have to turn loose of it.
Nice lightweight banjo with a good crack to it. And an old time look. Great neck, one piece, not the current laminate like in the other low numbered RK series.
Quite a fine instrument IMHO.
