Looks like one of those Antonio Tsai instruments that pop up on Ebay a lot. They're made in Vietnam with 10 pounds of pearl and abalone, and while I've never played one, I've never heard anything positive about them as musical instruments. As for what kind of banjo it is, maybe an A-scale or banjeaurine?
