Just found this one on Ebay was wondering if anyone had any ideas of age and how genuine it looks,

The pot is from a 1928 TB 2. The neck looks home made. The car trunk tailpiece was probably used to match the bow tie inlays and the guitar style Gibson logo. The pot looks genuine although there is some evidence of reworking it. The neck is poorly made. It could probably be made into a nice looking banjo with a little expert work. Whether the neck is worth trying to salvage or not could only be determined by having it in hand.

its a parts banjo. pot as said above, I think someone took an asian made neck and made it "look gibson" at home.

that is not a mastertone, I have an identical pot with a wonderful Ron Coleman neck attached and it is as fine a player as you could ever ask for , I am in Kent, less than an hour from London if you ever fancy trying it to see if it is what you are looking for .
