Hi.

I have a 'Savana' tenor banjo that has been in my family for a long time (no one can remember where it came from). I've searched this forum and elsewhere online but bar a couple of small previous posts with little info there doesn't seem to be much about them around.

The only markings / words anywhere on the whole instrument are on the head: 'Savana (Regd) - Made In England)'
The tuning pegs have been replaced, other than that it's un-touched.

Just to be clear this is a 'Savana' banjo and not a 'Savannah' which seem to be very common.

Photos attached. Any assistance most appreciated!
Thanks
Hugh

It looks very muck like a George Houghton $ Son (GH&S) instrument.
