Anyone try the higher ratio Rickard tuners? Thinking about putting a pair on to minimize tuning problems. Love some feedback.

Worth the money. Best tuners on the planet. All others are inferior.

Have one set on my Huber. Will be buying a 2nd for my Reiter.

I purchased a set that will be installed on a new built that is underway.
Can't wait to try them out!

Just put a set on my Enoch Tradesman. Wow. They really do tune in finer increments AND stay in tune much, much better.

I got mine from Don Bryant here on BHO. Saved almost twenty bucks and he was really nice to work with.

I have 7 (that's right, I said SEVEN) sets of Rickard tuners installed on most of my banjos -- they are THAT good.  I know they're expensive but, hey, ain't I worth it?... smiley

They are the only tuners I'll buy from now on. A very nice product.

Are they drop-in replacements for Gotohs and/or Five Star and/or Waverly?

I have a set on my Gold Star and love them.

Was planning on putting Rickards on my pre-war archtop but it feels wrong to not use the original Grovers.

I bought a set of four from Don Bryant and after 3 weeks I like ‘em a lot. They went on a Bonefass short scale openback. The peghead has an exaggerated break angle and it was a bear to tune with name brand 4:1s. It took me a while to get used to the different feel of the Rickards but they are much more precise and stable. I’d buy ‘em again and if I did I’d buy ‘em from Don, his prices were good and shipping was reasonable.

Installed a set on my Scruggs Standard. Smooth and precise. As I've heard it said, they put an end to all banjo tuning jokes
