I also listed this bass in my local Craigslist (Oklahoma City), but so far the only thing I’ve managed to gain is individuals who say they are interested and then just vanish into thin air when I reply.

I guess that some (uninterested) folks get a kick out of sending emails that they have zero intention of following through with what they say, in said emails!

I am selling the bass to fund a work-related purchase. I would like to have it sold by Friday afternoon, as the purchase has a deadline.

So, what do you think the price will be on Friday? About $100, or, $50?   winkyes

It will not be anything less than $500.

I refuse to bend to those who think everything should be “given” to them at a very inexpensive price. Originally, in 2017, this very bass was on consignment for $1500 at a music store in Kansas (before I traded for it.

Why $600 wouldn’t be a good deal, is beyond me.

I’d really like to see it sold by Friday, but there doesn’t seem much point when 99.99 percent of sales are due to banjos being sold.

Shipping the bass would be very costly. The bass’ value is not more than $1000 at the most, though I have never had it officially appraised.

I would also venture that most individuals prefer a 3/4 bass to a 1/2, though I personally think a 1/2 is easier to carry and less abusive to the fingers.

Please don’t take my comments as trying to scare persons away.

It’s just that it seems the Hangout isn’t the place for selling an upright bass.
