I've taken a musical trip back to Québec. I wore a Canadian T shirt especially.....
The tuning is sawmill gDGCD, but lower.

This is a great tune, you play it well.

I used to play this for dances in A then we'd change to D the last time through: An energetic change that excited dancers and signalled the dance was ending. Try it by changing to C positions, its fun.

Thanks Verne. I'll have to work out the key change. That fits with the lyrics of the song as well I think.

Funny, I wrote that this is played in standard gDGBD tuning. So I thought the key change you mentioned would be difficult. Then I remembered I'd gone up into sawmill, to make the B part easier. And I like playing in C in Sawmill, so that should work better.
