Regarding an album by C.E. Ward and Joe Smith and the Bluegrass Review, an LP released in 1970 on the Bluegrass Country Records label (BCR 14170):

Who is Bill Cooper?

This "variety album" featured cuts of the band with Ward and six members including Joe Smith was the band's guitar player and singer; Bill Cooper; David Smith, who played fiddle; Ronnie Prevette, who played mandolin for Ward and was later replaced by Tom Isenhour when Prevette joined the Bluegrass Alliance; David Johnson who played fiddle on the album; and Jack Lawrence played guitar, who had worked for Ward as an apprentice during his high school years.
