I saw a similar concept on trumpet buttons. So I thought this would be fun to try on a banjo for a fun way to add customization and dress them up a bit. Probably not the first one doing it, but what the heck.
I plan to offer these as a custom option on new and existing banjos. I’ll have to put on my thinking cap for some other cool designs!
Very cool Chris. It’s definitely looks like it will add a little extra bling and customization to your banjos.
I have some with pearl inlaid from FQMS. made years ago. I like yours also.
I love this kind of stuff. Fancy, but subtle. Turquoise buttons would be a cool Southwest variation.
Turquoise! Great idea!!
I like it, Chris. They remind me of the abalone tops on the knobs of my Telecaster.
Very nice.I have hearts and flowers on my Gibson ESGD that I purchased years ago from FQMS.
Abalone would look nice on my top tension Stelling Red Fox if that can be done.
Chris, I’m sure we could do it. Sounds like a really nice combination!
jerseydevil, I made thumb screws and wall lugs for Stelling several years back. I inlayed abalone in some. You might check with Geoff and see if he still had any.
Not to cut out a Companion banjo sale

Maybe offer tastefully matching truss rod covers and tuner peg buttons. How about matching Chicago screws.
Jewelry for your banjo!
Maybe rosewood and ebony to pick up the fretboard.
