I took a part-time job and there are a lot of Thieves in this neighborhood stealing packages off porches. A neighbor told me FedEx will let packages be picked up at one of their stores.

Does BH ship that way ?

I don't know how the Hangout ships, but if you receive a notice that a package has been shipped FedEx or UPS, you can call and request that you pick up the package at their facility. I've done that when I knew I was going to be out of town and expecting a package during that time.

Ok, good to know. I'd kind of like to know before I order though. I'm sure Eric will see this later on.

Also, if you get stuff by UPS you can have it shipped to a nearby UPS Store. I have my instruments sent to my local store and the owner of the store charges me $5.

We only ship USPS. Fedex and UPS are approximately twice the cost, for the stuff we're shipping!

Will they let you ship to a specific USPS station ? Or Walgreens drug store locations ?

If yes, can I indicate that on the order form ? Some online vendors have it set up like that.

I don't know... we can ship to any place with an address! The question would be, will be it delivered to you, or end up returned to us?

Ok, USPS can hold a package at my local postal station but they charge 15 bucks.

A bit much for a hoodie or shirt.

No big deal, I'll just see if my boss minds if I have it sent to him at my work place. The mail is delivered to the security desk there. I have a key to the office and can pick it up 24/7.

Build yourself a mailbox big enough for your parcel to be delivered in with a lock on it?
A T shirt should probably fit through a mail slot in a door.

We used to travel a lot and always filled out one of those yellow information forms that said to hold our mail until we got back.  They never charged us anything, but that was for regular mail, not packages, although we did get a couple of packages held during that time and it didn't cost anything.  Maybe they've changed their rules in the last few years?

@Texasbanjo

The service they charge fifteen bucks for is to hold it at the station and I have to pick it up there.

The vacation thing is just to hold it from regular home delivery until the date you specify.

Anyhow, when I had my post office box it was never an issue. But they just kept raising the prices every 6 months and I just don't get that much mail or packages to justify it.

It would work. I have the wood, hardware, and paint here to build one but I'm not sure it would be worth doing for just one delivery.

I'm pretty sure my employer will let me have any future packages sent to my workplace. No biggie.

Mail Order is the wave of the future especially during a pandemic.  A big delivery box for parcels could be a good long term investment.
