I called a cab one time & the driver said "I brought your roommate home last night"

He described him to a T & said he was ready to go home after the bar run & went to grab a couple of slices at a pizza joint. He ate them in the car & went to a local fishing spot & took a few casts. He caught a pike & took it home to clean it. When he got home he saw a guy sleeping in the back seat! Scared the heck outta him!

He woke the guy up (still clutching his pizza ) & took him to our place. He said he got in to get a ride & fell asleep!

I got to know the driver pretty good & I kept my fishing rod & tackle box in his trunk when I worked evening shift.

True story: A fellow student's friend got sloppy drunk one night. Jim called a cab and took him home. The cab driver had to swerve over to the curb multiple times so the guy could open the door and heave. After several of these episodes, the guy pulled a mickey out of his pocket and proclaimed, "Oh, well, out with the old, in with the new!"

When they got to the guy's home, Jim made sure he got the door open, then gave his friend a gentle shove - wanting to get him into the house as quietly as possible, so as not to wake his parents. The guy then tripped over the family dog.
