Through circumstance I find myself passing by Groton, CT later today and was wondering if anyone knew the address of the former Bacon and Day company? If like to stop by that point for a quick photo to put in the car if my 1927 Super

I thought their address would be printed in one of their catalogs, but no such luck. I guess that was to discourage all the tour busses filled with classic and tenor banjo players from dropping by their modest factory.

I am sure someone else will have it.

Not exactly sure.
A reported 1923 business directory stated 169 Thames St., Groton
Somehow I learned that the original Winship purchase deed stated 271 Thames St., Groton.

Maybe another interesting drive-by would be the Plant Building, New London, Ct.
From about March 1915 thru Sept. 1920 Fred Bacon conducted business from his studio in room 219 of the Plant Building in New London (attached). I've wondered if the Plant Building is still standing??

A few years ago NYCJazz (Nathan Garrett) went by the Bacon-Groton factory and took some photos and with his permission I put one on a pp slide.
