I have 2 Bart Reiter banjo's I need to sell a/c old age ( me, not the banjos ) and the hand problems that come with it. One is the standard model , the other a Regent. Both were bought new from Elderly in 2004 and include TKL hardshell cases. Nothing was ever changed but the strings and maybe 1 bridge. Always in AC/heated house, never exposed to extreme temps. Played from 2004 to 2014, resting since. Look almost new to me except scuff marks on the head from playing.
I am computer illiterate so won't be able to post pictures

I would appreciate any advice on what to price them at. Thanks

$1000+ or so each. If you need a quick sale, maybe $900+.

It will really help you to find a friend who can take and post photos. Potential buyers are going to insist.

Good luck.

@stil tryn

Can you email photos? If you can take photos with a phone and text them, I will help.

Thanks for your offer. Here's what we're up against. My wife and I both have flip phones , not smart phones . Neither of us has ever sent a text, we don't know how and we don't think we ever even enabled our phones to allow it. Guess modern technology has left us sitting in the dust. My wife thinks maybe she could take pictures , get them in the computer and email them to you if that is workable and safe If thats all to much a pain in the butt I understand

The Regent has an Electric-style scalloped tone ring; the Standard has a brass rod. The Regent should find a price point about $100-$150 above the Standard. I’d try something like $1000 for the Stndard; $1,150 for the regent.Be open to reasonable offers

George, can't help with your banjos but I greatly regret moving from my flip to a smart phone. Hang in there brother, you just don't need the aggravation, trust me!

Confusing.

Indeed. I think Bart made (makes?) three different banjos with Electric-style tone rings. Only a few early ones are bracket-band Whyte Laydie clones. Most, by whatever name, are essentially thick-rimmed electric copies.

How is that confusing? That's how I remember those two models.

Many of the models on this page no longer exist but the Standard and Regent are described here:
