As alien as these hairy legged, leaf munchers look, I'll take them over the Hornets.
...although, both are dangerous to fruit trees. The Moths eat and possibly lay their worm producing eggs on the leafs and the Hornets kill the pollinators.
Hummingbirds are going crazy here. There are so many variations in colors I'm not sure who's who.

a lot of rain put plants into the fast lane here in late spring. The garden has done really well so far . Corn tosseled with ears ,melons blooming, This week heat index is around 100 f. each day. The better half picked 4 gallons of wild blackberries for her wine this week. Critter wise ,we had about 6 skunks on the hill last month -an oddity
