Vera Lynn, who popularized the song "We'll Meet Again" during WWII, passed away Thursday at the age of 103.
During an on-line session Thursday evening, when I mentioned it, nobody knew who she was. Just one of the most iconic singers of her time.
The best of the British spirit, I had her songs in my head all day...
I learnt one of her tunes to play for my dad in his 95th birthday just last week.
