Here are photos taken this AM of my very first Gibson banjo. I got it for Christmas in 1962. I have been the only owner and it's as original as it can be. I don't play it anymore, but it served me well in my younger days! I have the truss rod cover somewhere in my house, but for now, its whereabouts are a mystery!

Nice pictures. I had one just like it from about 1967 to 1977.

Hello,

This show and tell is nice. What is the Dec 12, 1959 note in the resonator?

Nice banjo. Thanks for Sharing

My very first Mastertone that I got when I was a kid was a mid 50’s. RB250.

Got it used. Loved it then and I still love it. One of the few banjos I have that I will never get rid of.

I like these archtop bowtie RB-250 banjos very much, very cool banjo. I would sure like to have one, but I already have so many banjos and guitars…

It's "Dec 21, 1962" - That was when I got it for Christmas that year.

My scratching technique wasn't that great when I was 13 years old. It may be somewhat better now, but I assure you, this was done in 1962.
