Banjo tabs often pop up through web searches as hosted by this site but the actual links are not working. Anyone know what's going on with that? I've emailed the site administrator a couple of times but haven't heard back. Are the tabs available but have to be purchased perhaps? Here are a couple of ones I'm looking for. If anyone happens to have these on hand as PDFs, can you send them to me?

Mississippi Waltz (Noam Pikleny)

I Started Loving You Again (Jim Mills)

Thanks!

Web searches often return things that are years out of date. The BHO tab library is much more reliable.

When you click on the link you are directed to an empty page in the BHO Tab Archive. I think the tabs have been removed from the tab archive are not longer available. The search engines are often not updated and often includes older pages that are no longer active.

Sometimes the people who post tabs take them down. They do that for a variety of personal and business reasons. It's their right. Unfortunately, dead links seem to live forever in Google.

Use either the "Learn" link or the magnifying glass Search tool in the navigation column at the left of every page on this site to search the Tab Library to see if those tabs are here.

BHO won't allow our MuseScore scores with everyone, only pdfs and mp3 and maybe midi files.

Because of this about all Mike's tabs were PDF's which go into oblivion eventually on this site.

Tabs can be uploaded in the following formats:

Tabrite (.bjo)
Tabledit (.tef)
PDF (.pdf)
Powertab (.ptb)
Gif (.gif)
Text (.tab)
Text (.txt)
JPEG (.jpg)
Musedit (.med)
Guitar-Pro (.gtp)
Guitar-Pro 3 (.gp3)
Guitar-Pro 4 (.gp4)
Guitar-Pro 5 (.gp5)
Guitar-Pro (.gpx)
MIDI (.mid)
MP3 (.mp3)
Bitmap (.bmp)

You might ask for someone to re-submit the tab that you're looking for. They may be glad to do so and they may not want to, but it never hurts to ask.

Why are PDFs going into oblivion? Just curious.

If a pdf is put out here in the open forum it is basically unfindable in the future because you would not know that it was even submitted. But if it was put in the tab library as a pdf it would stay forever there as a searchable file as a tab.

If a member deletes a tab that they posted to the Tab Library isn't it then gone?

By my understanding of the options on the page for any tab there's a trash can for deleting the whole entry, inlcuding all associated files, in one click.
