Hello again from Stone Banjo!

Uploaded one of four 1800's tribute banjos to Banjo Hangout  in classifieds as 20010-18 (Banjo Hangout Ad) and my Website (20018-18).   As stated, only one is posted at this time.   One just sold first day, but three (3) are remaining for sale.   I was motivated by an individual I talked with a few months ago who was looking for me to build a banjo similar to the late 1800's Eagle Bracket banjo.   Through our discussions, I decided to build a batch of banjos of similar design.....   Thin rim, fretless (with or without fret guides), and beautiful wood.   The result exceeded my expectations....  Handpicked some beautiful African Mahogany (figured) for the neck and lucked into hard maple with some curl for the rim.   12-inch thin rim of 0.35 to 0.4 inch, dyed dark brown and Brazilian Rosewood fretboard.  Finished with all brass hardware, real skin head, and custom 12 hook tension hoop. Pushing my builds to provide banjos for folks that want something unique with an expected old time tone.     I can also build similar custom banjos for a similar price.   I also have two (2) 11-inch more conventional banjos for sale in the Classifieds as 20013 and 20014. So, thanks again to the BH forum and community for giving us small builders a platform......

Sweet sorrow to say that 1800s tribute banjos are sold out. I still have 2 fretless neck blanks looking for a good home....
Let me know if you have some ideas for vintage banjo construction, wood type, etc. Enjoy the nostalgia of reproduction.
Summer is here in spades. Plenty of time for outside play....
