No , I don’t think I’m losing my mind - I’ve never believed in poltergeists or ghosts. But I’m baffled - before I left my apartment this afternoon I put my coffee cup on the counter with a bit of coffee still in it. An hour and a half later I returned,,the coffee cup is nowhere to be found - searched high and low for it. Not only that but a banjo book that I thumbed through just two months ago is missing also ; I’ve been looking for it all week. With 4 fairly expensive instruments laying around who would take those 2 items and leave everything else, if in fact someone was able to access my apt.?
Anyone have any experiences with poltergeists ?

Chuck you're 70...right ?....there's a correlation between getting old and forgetful and poltergeist activity.... no one can figure out why :0)

I can't answer that, but if anybody sees my two Ove-Gloves that have been missing for a month I'd appreciate you telling me.

I think it's better known as old timers' disease.

I moved into a bungalow because I got fed up of walking up the stairs only to forget why I'd gone up there in the first place.

A couple of weeks ago I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and in the dark bedroom I ran into a small desk where it had not been a few hours earlier. I talked this over with my wife the next morning. We decided the only explanation was that she must have sleeped-walked and looked for mice behind the desk (On rare occasions we've had a mouse show up in bedroom).

The matrix has been hacked. It's that or the time maker, the guys that construct time as we move forward, forgot about some objects and they go back in time and put them in places that you would have never placed them. I had a similar experience just this past Saturday. Making oatmeal I could not find the box, which I thought was on the counter beside our stove.I searched everywhere in our kitchen. Found it in the cabinet under the sink. Nothing goes in that cabinet except cleaning supplies.

About two days after my father-in-law passed, I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Used the bathroom nite light for illumination. Went to bed and the bathroom light went on.. My reaction was, "Tony, was that you"?. I could see his face and see him laughing.

Look in the freezer! That's where i hide stuff on myself. I went grocery shopping one morning & put everything away.

In the afternoon I started to make my Hoppin' john recipe. No peppers. looked in the car, in all the cupboards. No peppers! Went back to the store & asked the young lady if I forgot them. No.

I bought 3 more & the cashier felt bad for this old coffin dodger so she let me have them for free! Found them in the freezer the next day! I couldn't bring myself to tell her what happened! blush

Same scenario, came home with the groceries & a bottle of champagne. Looked in the fridge. No Champagne!

Can't fool me this time Bubba!..... In the freezer!   Caught it when it was just nice & cold. Could you imagine if THAT went off in there?!

Ya, not in the freezer either, Bubba. Nor in the bathroom cabinet, nor under my bed or in the closet. Hmmm...maybe in my sock drawer,,,

Sometimes .... the poltergeist can take on the form of a......wife.    Often I have noticed that when putting something down in a handy place.....on returning to that place...... that thing has been moved.     It's not actually a paranormal phenomenon ....it's a.....normal femnomeon ......but can actually be far more annoying than living in a haunted house.

Are you certain that poltergeists are the culprits? It could be Wet Spaniel's Viking son, practicing his pillaging.

Chuck,  buy a "Blink" camera.

If you get a ghost on the video, shop it around and make big bucks!

Poltergeists are the reason I keep around several sets of keys to the cars and the house.

The Poltergeists are a strange breed. They will steal the keys and make them vanish, but leave the cars sitting safely in the driveway.

They steal pens and note pads, as well. They are particularly fond of making note pads with the grocery list disappear. I leave the note pads and pen right there in the kitchen counter. A few moments later I return to the kitchen and holy bulldoobers! They are no longer there!
