The frets on my RB-75 seem a bit large to me and my taste. I have adapted to it somewhat but still notice it, especially when sliding up the neck. I was wondering if I could have the frets shaved down and crowned or is it easier to replace them? Any recommendations for Luthiers/repair/quality fret work in the mid atlantic region? Thanks!

replace them. I actually prefer re-fretting to major fret-dressing. It's a lot less like work.

If the existing frets have a crown width of above .090" or so, I would certainly replace them. It is difficult to accurately re-crown wide fret wire that has been ground down low. It can affect the intonation and look odd.
If you're near southeast Tennessee, you are welcome to pm me about having the work done.
