I can no longer access the old Banjophiles website. I get a 501 not found error message.
Although I knew it wasn't perfect, it did have a lot of usable information, and I will miss it.
Or has it just changed web address?
I get a "503 sevice unavailable"
I think that's more a server error than a website error. I imagine it will reappear once the server is fixed.
I could be wrong about this. I did a whois check and the registration has expired (on the 22nd). The owner may have overlooked this or decided not to bother.

Well, there have been some pretty uncalledfor comments on BHO recently about the site. It IS a valuable asset. Like everything else, some aspects aren't perfect. But the bashing was unnecessary. I wouldn't blame the owner of banjophiles if he takes it down.
The pandemic has affected everybody. We are all dealing with more stress than "normal". Load-shedding is a technique used by many (all?) to deal with overwhelming stress. So if the site was stressful for the owner, maybe he's just taking a break. Hopefully when things calm down he will reactivate it. If you have an email address for him, perhaps a friendly word would help him recover.
Its a little outdated but the internet archive has this site indexed from 2019:
Banjophiles is back working
