It's not Irish, but it's on my tenor banjo tuned GDAE. With a bit of guitar and mandolin accompaniment.
It's hard on a banjo, it's in C, and has a high C (8th fret 1st string) in the B part. Probably good for pinkie strength and stretch. I've only just got the tune, so no doubt I can make it slicker.
It's probably a bit slower than it should be. Anyway, hope you like it.

Sounds great Andrew - I think some tunes are played too fast and then they lose the melody. Tom Berghan here on the BHO has some nice soundfiles playing tenor for oldtime fiddle tunes.

Have you heard Gerry O'Connor's version - I think it's on 'No Place Like Home'. He's probably in CGDA which is much easier for tunes in C. So, there is an excuse to have two banjos - one for each tuning :)
