Gibson-Style Banjo Hanger Bolts
Crazy-hard-to-find exact duplicates of the original hanger bolts (aka “lag bolts”) used by Gibson in virtually all of their banjos built from 1927 onward.
These unplated 2.5” steel bolts feature the required 10-32 thread pattern as well as period-correct spacing between the bolt's two thread types (machine thread / lag screw thread). These are what you'll need to replace or recreate the original bolts used to attach Gibson-style necks to the banjo's coordinator rod(s).
Don't confuse these specially designed hanger bolts with the common 10-24 spec versions often found at hardware stores and online music supply outlets. While bolts of that spec will work on some other brands of domestic and imported banjos, the 10-32 spec is the only one that will work with Gibson or Gibson-style banjos.
