I (almost) took the title seriously until I looked at the video. Nice work!

Wow! VERY nice building and playing! Well done. Love the stars idea on the shoe bolt heads.

Not only a craftsman, but a helluva clawhammer player too. I like your humility. Very enjoyable video.

Great looking and sounding banjo. I'm not usually a huge fan of claw hammer, but that was fine picking and I enjoyed it!

Mr. Gregory,

I mean this in the best possible way, but I think you are the Red Green of banjo builders. You take whatever you have on hand, and make a functional instrument out of it!

Not to hijack the thread, but... First episode of Red Green I ever saw, he made a heart/lung machine out of a freezer.
And I once sliced a section out of an aluminum cylinder from a discarded heart/lung machine, and made a banjo.

He who calls me a Red Green does me a compliment!

I designed the heel myself . I started with a rough sketch and then kept tracing over it while refining the lines.

Yes, a beautiful banjo!

Sounds real good, what kind of tone ring does it have?

Sir, I reject the title of this thread wholeheartedly! This is a wonderfully built banjo, well played!

And to add to the Red Green subtext: "Remember if the women can't find you handsome, at least let them find you handy!"

Thanks Andy. It's a 1/4 inch brass rod held up by a pile of flat head screws.
