Anyone fancy being the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland? There's a new opening since the 'current CMO resigned yesterday after being warned by the police for visiting her second home at least twice over the last couple of weeks of us being 'locked down'.  It's super ironic as she appeared on regular TV briefings telling the Scottish public to stay at home in order to save lives.

one rule for some eh?

"Ms Sturgeon said it was "clear" that Dr Calderwood's mistake "risks distracting from and undermining confidence in the government's public health message at this crucial time."

...undermining confidence??     Baawwaahhhaaawwhh!!

I’m not sure if they’ll let me back in the country after the incident.

It does make me marvel at how she failed to avoid doing the one action that contradicted her own widely publicised and very specific advice.

If you are the 'trusted' spokesperson telling the public not to visit holiday homes DON'T visit your OWN holiday home. Not a difficult concept to grasp. What was she thinking?

It really is an acute and untreatable case of Basil Fawlty's 'Don't Mention The War' Syndrome.

I would love to be the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland. I think I could be successful if all I had to do was to tell people to stay inside and do the same myself. I wouldn't mind doing all that work from home, provided that I have my banjo and plenty of ingredients to make food with.

And if you got bored of working from home, you could always nip up the coast to,your other one.

Are you sure? As they say, pride comes before a fall.

Apparently just being consistent and not a hypocrite is more difficult than we'd imagine. Even when paid a huge salary and in the public eye during a health crisis.

Does it involve telling the Scots to stop drinking and eating fried Mars bars? More than my job's worth, mate.
