It's possible, Wes.
Changing the subject, temporarily:
If you ever get tired of living where there's NEVER a plowed wall of snow blocking the end of your driveway, why not move to Wisconsin, and run for MAYOR of the city just a few miles from here?
They sorta named it after you, so, "VOTE for a REAL Wes Bender" would make a good campaign slogan.............
It's funny, but a number of people, when they hear my name, think it is West. I appreciate the suggestion, Mike, but politics is one thing that I would never consider entering. Now, we better get back to the regular programming before this thread is locked for becoming political.......
This MIGHT get it moved to the [FF] FOOD FORUM.
But, BACK on the subject of the LUTE:
THe string tension on the tailpiece is deforming the end of the tin.
Got to install reinforcing blocks, on the side of the dowel stick, I guess.
Action WAAAYYYY too high, so I took off the nut, sawed the slots to BELOW the fingerboard.
Then pulled a fret from the discarded end of the used fingerboard, trimmed it, mixed up epoxy putty, and pushed the fret into the putty to make a ZERO fret
Quick, cheap, and lazy.
Might have a sound file by tomorrow evening.
