It's pretty bad when a moderator locks a topic that violates no rules simply because they don't like the topic of discussion.
My recent banjo market trends topic was locked, supposedly because it was a duplicate. It was in fact not a duplicate at all. New topics are started every day based on side conversations that start in other existing topics. It is a relevant, timely, contextual discussion. It was created as a new post because it was a side conversation in a different thread that was better suited for its own topic.
Is this a new rule that we can expect to see enforced everywhere? Can new topics only be started if they've never been mentioned on BHO before? Does this mean we'll never have to see another discussion of what "prewar tone" actually is? Are we still allowed to discuss the merits of Recording King banjos, there's certainly been several threads about that over time. I'm assuming the topic of compensated nuts and string gages is off limits with this new rule, since they've all been discussed at length in the past.
Just trying to understand the rules around here.

I posted this in another thread but it kinda got buried so I figured it was worth its own topic.
This is the first line of your topic. You wanted more people to see what you had posted before so you post it again.
Seems like a duplicate to me.
If you have an issue PM me.
And this one is locked because one of the rules you may understand is not discussing a moderators actions.
