There are some inspiring tune makers out there: Arnie Naiman, Chris Coole, Jane Rothfield, Brad Kolodner. Though I'd post a tune I wrote in honor of Adam Hurt & Beth Hartness. Story is with the video. How about mentioning or posting some of your favorite original tunes by clawhammer players? Fun weekend sharing.
Stay Safe y'all.

Thanks for sharing, Cathy. You mention some of my favorite musicians, and Adam and Beth are there at the top.

Really well done, and such a happy tune. What is the banjo?

This is my main banjo, 1926 tubaphone pot with custom neck made by Larry Sifel about 35 years ago.

Great idea, let music bring more people together. Here are some of mine, recorded in 2003 and the matching tabs for them are posted here:

Shortly after I was introduced to double C tuning in the late '70s or early '80s, I learned a tune by Brian Pickell from the first Humber River Valley Boys LP called Late Snow.  I still love it, but I can't seem to find it on youtube.
Maggie used to say, "Play that sad banjo song."
When someone would say, "You can't play sad songs on the banjo," Maggie would say, "You haven't heard Late Snow."

I'm the only clawhammer banjo player I know. Wish I had something to post here because it is a great topic.

Another of my favourites, also "a sad banjo song", learned from a Cathy Fink recording is Ola Belle Reed's Where The Wild, Wild Flowers Grow.   Thanks for that Cathy.

Your playing rocks, Cathy! Adam and Beth must feel honored. Here are some tunes I wrote.  Janet B’s original tunes.  During this quarantine the banjo is a best friend and companion, isn't it.
