I have come across a banjo listed as made by R. G kettle - late 1980's Has a block built rim and brass fittings and a Waverley fibreskin head on it
But cannot seem to find anything about the maker. Thus does anyone know about Kettle banjos?

I have no listing of either Kettle or Wigston in my archives. Wigston sounds very British to me.
There was the one at Instruments Past. Occasionally come up at auction. Then again could all have been the same banjo.
There are 2 at Instruments Past. One came up in a Google search that isn't in their banjo listing. One of them looks to be the same one auctioned late last year. Never heard of them but they look like decent banjos for the price. I'm guessing they're from a (now defunct ?) small or hobby maker in Wigton, Cumbria.
These do look nicely made. If its Wigston spelt with an "s" its probably the one in Leicestershire - that's a fair size town
Thanks - I had narrowed it down to the Leicestershire Town & yes the only two I had seen were the ones at the auction and at instruments past - just wondered if anyone owns or has owned one..... Possibly he/she only made two!
