Does anyone remember a pad or foam cover that fits on the resonator to make it easier on the legs when sitting and playing a heavy weight 5 string?

I remember someone once suggested a plush toilet seat lid cover.
What about one of those wool pads the auto parts stores sell for seat belts?

Thanks, those are both good possibilities.

Link to Resonator Pad

Here's the one my wife designed for me.  Works great when I have buttons on shirts and I'm playing on stage.

If you're married and your wife sews or if you know someone who does, it's very simple to take a chamois and make a little pillow that you can sit in your lap and set the banjo on. That keeps it from being so heavy on your thighs and also makes it more stable because the chamois won't let the banjo slip and slide.

If you need something to cover the resonator while on stage, again, your wife/mother/friend could make a cloth cover that fits over the resonator and is held in place with elastic.

Our Companion stand might be what your looking for. Not exactly a pad, but keeps all the weight off the body. We have them on our website under “shop”

Companionbanjos.com

Thanks
Chris
