Figmo, you are quite the machinist. Your barrel must be true, given your small group size.

Sweet ! So does the 219 drop into the 12ga barrel? That’s some top fettling that right there sir.

3450 is fairly rattling ... is it a flat trajectory ?

Beautiful - I am envious of your skills, I can make most things in wood but I have never learned any metalworking.

Out of interest, unless you were a registered firearms dealer and gunsmith (loads of red tape and hoops to jump through) it would be illegal to build your own rifle in the uk. As soon as you put a reamer to a barrel blank it becomes a firearms component in the eyes of the law here and you would need a very specific permit to own it

From the way your scope hinges - are you a southpaw shooter?

Al ...... you gotta lot of guts trying out your own creations. After I had almost finished building my road bicycle I offered to let my friend's son try it out biking down a nearby mountain. He declined, so I decided to take it by a bike shop and let them finish the assembly because they had some specialty tools I did not have.

Of course that is assuming that the seed you put in the hole is corn! Much more difficult that some people imagine.

You must do plumbing differently in your neck of the woods!

Putting a reamer into a barrel blank makes it into a pipe, not a gun.  I don't know about that side of the pond, but gangs here make zip guns out of a piece of pipe, a piece of metal for a firing pin, and a hand full of other items easily obtainable in the home, or hardware store.  Now they don't bother as much, as a 3D printer can produce a better gun.

Dave, the blank is already a tube to the respective calibre - using a chamber reamer makes it capable of accepting a round. Irrespective of whether it is attached to an action and capable of firing that round it is classed as a firearm component here and subject to very heavy regulations

No....

There is a rifle barrel who's outside is cut n contoured to the inside of a 12 gauge single shot barrel..

So the rifle  barrel becomes like a liner..

When not needed.. it can be removed.. n you can still shoot it as a shotgun..

The trick was to make an extractor/ejector..fer the spent rifle case..

Hope that helps..

If not I will try again to explain it.. :0)
