I had the oportunity to meet with Silvio again at this years Joe Val We got to swap banjos and have fun picking in the graan room the the best part was being able to recipricate the generosity of Silvio. I happend to have some old Snuffy Smith Bridges with me and we were talking about bridges. Silvio said he wished he hadnt sold his old Snuffy's. After receiving bridges as gifts in the mail from Italy from Silvio. I was finnaly able to give back just a little. Silvio is an extreemly generous person.

I really like Silvio's bridges. They are fantastic.

I agree regarding his generosity. Great fellow to do business with - HIGHLY recommended.

Yes he is!

I was lucky enough to visit Silvio in his shop in Genova when my wife and I vacationed in Italy in November.  I got to play a newly assembled banjo before it was delivered to the owner.  And I watched as Silvio slotted a new bridge for me, which I had every intention of buying but that he gifted to me. It went on my '70s RB-250.

Hey Joe, good to see you at Joe Val. Silvio is a great guy (and Red Wine is a great band). He's given me bridges, too, totally unsolicited, including one that I asked him to modify by making the top slightly wider front to back. That one is on my 1928 TB-4 archtop. I now have his bridges on four of my banjos. It was great to see him again yesterday.

I've never met Sylvio, but about 10 years ago my then 30-year-old daughter was trekking around Italy with a pal and when I mentioned my concerns of her safety to Sylvio, he volunteered to be available if she needed help. Let me repeat...he didn't know me from Adam, other than the fact we both were BHO people. Her trip went fine, but just knowing there was a "local" on whom I could count was reassuring to this Dad. When she returned home safe and sound, he offered to send me a couple of bridges, cut to my desired height and spacing. Ten years later, they are still on two of my "go to" banjos. A unique human being, for sure!

Silvio made me three bridges last year and sent them to me. They are incredible bridges too.
