I'm looking for pictures of the home made capo Earl Scruggs used before the Scruggs-Ruben one. He made this capo in 1945 and covered the crossbar with white medical tape because he couldn't find tubing small enough. The capo can be seen on the old TV shows and some of the older Flatt and Scruggs pictures. Charlie Cushman sent me a close up picture of the capo, but it was just the top and one side. I'd like to see the capo from all sides. I don't know if Earl threw it away or if anyone might have it. It looks similar to a McKinney/Elliott one from what I can tell. Thanks.

I know this has been the topic of threads before. I'm not certain they resulted in anything beyond what you already have but you may search the archives to check.

The only picture I've seen is on page 22 of my copy of the Scruggs book...in the Scruggs Tuners section.
